Interesting. Behaviour of the web interface with Safari on a PPC Mac seemed buggy. Lost updates, cancelled HHTP GETs - that sort of thing. AIR client works better.

I just got a free license for #Balsamiq from the founder Peldi because of SAPlink and blogging. We may be able to get a license for #Esme if we need one. Its a great product for doing quick mockups

@dpp re:groups One of the first things an enterprise would want to do is implement ESME as a communication tool for a project team/group. Also, the web version could be used to discuss private conversations between ESME members or other groups

@dpp : true, but still needs to be a way of sending private messages to a limited group of people. For example, these messages could go to a private ESME group only

@ewh : there was some documentation of planned features some time ago,lets assume that as backlog for now.. ut at some point we should try and have everything we need done documented on google code.. re: Desktop client the wireframes are my set of planned features

We're not going to have "groups" the way you think of them in terms of email, etc. We will have authentication rules to take care of access control, but the concept of "sending" something (beyond the @ send) is not likely to make it into #Esme because ESME is not email.

@mrinal - api get_msgs with user name gives the list of user messages and if there is any replies/conversations, then those users who replies are also returned, #Esme

@ok : its instant..clients subscribe to ESME server for a 5 min time frame.. server returns immediately when its gets a msg

The new #Esme code is live with a public timeline and some new style... but wicked cranky... it's off to bed

Dick -- tracking is applied to the public timeline so you can capture any message with a give #Tag ... Actions are applied to stuff that makes it into your mailbox... we need both concepts, but we need to unify them in some way
