is there a timeplan for groups?

Groups
@dhague : I agree.

UME integration may have to wait for next year though - right now we are compatible with all Java Servlet engines, and I think this is best for the open source stuff. There is some security/users/roles discussion on the Lift group right now, so it would be good if Lift supported a "plug & play" user/group/role model. UME would then just plug in.

@dhague : this is also a point in this blog - http://www.headshift.com/blog/2008/09/its-like-twitter-but-for.php . If we have UME integration, we have a lot of functionality out-of-the-box that is critical for enterprise sucess (for example integration with corporate LDAPs)

@ewh Of course, with permissions added in, we are already there. Think @lotd , which resends messages sent to it - this is the behaviour desired of a group. UME integration will also offer this at some point, sourcing user, groups & roles from SAP and behaving accordingly.

No groups. We have decided what the functionality will be (just last week) but there has been no time to implement. @dpp 's latest enhancements come close to the server-side implementation though.
